This is a wonderful place to watch wildlife: Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, Herons, Badgers, deer and otters are to be found living on the farm. Words can not explain the experience of watching these wild animals yards from the cabins
Watch the Badgers feeding near the cabins at night during the winter months.
September, and the badgers have been taking the peanuts from under the logs.
During September they appear between 9.45 and 11pm as the nights get darker they appear even earlier.
October and November Wildlife Watching becomes even more interesting.
Badgers are even more eager appearing at 9.00

Day time and Greater Spotted Woodpeckers feed nearby along with many other birds. Again all this can be seen from the cabins.
November is a good time to watch the deer coming to feed in the margins they are quite undisturbed as long as you are quiet.
Take a Land rover wildlife safari across the 100 acres of Somerset Wetlands. This is an experience to observe wildlife in natural surroundings. During winter months this experience increase as the low lying, levels flood, bringing in wild fowl.
The Levels are famous for its large flocks of starlings, which darken the skies during winter evenings as they look to roost. This is a winter activity starting in November.
